We received this emergency call out of hours – the loading bay shutter for Morrisons had come down onto an object and required urgent repair. Our engineers attended, unbagged, straightened and realigned the roller shutter curtain. Once this had been completed, the motor limits for the doorway were reset and tested. Read more
This client reported that their fire exit door had become loose and the locking device was no longer operating correctly following an attempted break in. Attending the premises immediately, our experienced engineer was able to secure the frame and alter the panic bar to allow complete use whilst keeping the site secure. Read more
This client advised us that their rear fire exit door had dropped and would no longer open, leading to a compromise in security and the safety of staff. Our engineer found that the fire door had completely failed and ideally needed replacing in full. As a temporary solution, we altered and cut the existing hinges to enable access, and provided a full quote for a new fire door. Read more
After investing in a set of new industrial fire shutters from another provider, the client contacted us to say that their shutters were not closing fully. Quay Facilities attended to find that the industrial fire shutters laths had become bent in several places and the steel endlocks had also been severely damaged. We straightened out the laths and fitted brand new steel endlocks. Read more
We were contacted by this client when their industrial fridge doors had jammed open. Our engineer attended the site and was immediately able to fix the sectional doors, getting them back up and running to give staff safe access. Having secured the doors ,the engineer identified that the steel lifting cables that powered the movement of the doors had to be untangled and recabled. Read more
This shop reported that they were having problems with their door not closing properly and affecting the locking mechanism, they explained that their industrial roller shutters could also need repairing. Quay Facilities removed and replaced the door with new fittings, a new closer, drive arm and pivot assembly. We then re-hung the door, adjusted the closing speed and tested the key and lock. We were contacted by this client early one morning when they noticed that the flush bolt on the main entrance door of the retail shop was broken. After assessing the damage to the shopfront door, the old flush bolt was broken beyond repair and had to be changed. To the delight of the client, Quay Facilities were able to replace the flush bolt with a new one straight from the engineer’s van stock. Read more
