This client contacted us after experiencing some difficulties with their existing automatic doors which had stopped operating correctly. Our Engineer attended and found that the automatic doors had the wrong safety sensors fitted. We later upgraded the automatic door safety sensors to comply with the new BS EN16005 regulations. This client contacted us in a bit of a panic, as the commercial roller shutter at the front of the pub had stopped working completely. Our emergency repair team attended and found that the had developed a faulty motor. We were able to repair the roller shutters right there and then, replacing the faulty motor with a brand new one from the engineer’s van stock. Read more
Having been contacted by this client, our team attended the premises out of hours in the early morning to avoid disruption to the store and their customers. The existing faulty automatic door operators were removed and Quay Facilities supplied, installed and wired two new automatic swing operators for the automatic doors. Read more
Another emergency call out, this client had been the victim of vandalism. Quay Facilities arrived to find the handle of the door to the premises missing, and the security of the building compromised. After locating the missing handle, our experienced engineer was able to repair and resecure the handle allowing full use of the door once again. Read more
Unfortunately for Marks & Spencer, three sections of the loading bay fire exit door at the rear of the property had come crashing down. Quay Facilities re-cabled the fire exit door and replaced the damaged hinge assemblies and wheels to ensure that the door was fully operational again. Read more
This client encountered a problem during a fire test – when the staff had exited the building, the emergency fire shutter hadn’t dropped as it should have. Quay Facilities attended, adjusted and reworked the internal solenoid release brake, as this was where a fault had developed. Read more
