This client reported to us that the bolts on the shopfront doors kept being broken by customers on their way out of the retail shop, causing the doors to flap open at random moments.

Location: Tunbridge Wells

Fault: This client reported to us that the bolts on the shopfront doors kept being broken by customers on their way out of the retail shop, causing the doors to flap open at random moments.

Resolution: Quay Facilities attended to this fault immediately to investigate the issue and its cause more thoroughly. Once an assessment had been made, it was agreed that new bolts were required as soon as possible to prevent further damage to the doors. Later that day, Quay Facilities were able to supply and fit custom-made, heavy duty shoot bolts on the shopfront doors. The quick response kept the ‘Hotter’ retail shop doors held back correctly and ended their continuous problem of broken door catches.

Our customer was extremely happy with the result.

Location: Sidcup

Fault: This client advised us that their rear fire exit door had dropped and would no longer open leading to a compromise in security and the safety of staff.

Resolution: Our qualified engineers arrived at the premises to find the staff confused with their problem. Upon closer inspection, the fire door had completely failed and ideally needed replacing in full. As a temporary solution, our engineers altered and cut the existing hinges to enable staff to enter and exit, and a full quote for a new fire door was provided.

The client was pleased that the fire exit route was now clear and did not compromise customers or staff.
