Resolution: The Quay Facilities Emergency team immediately attended the shop to investigate their security window shutters and industrial roller shutters. Quay Facilities found that the main entrance industrial roller shutters were in an extremely dangerous state. Without delay, the Age UK retail shop was made safe to continue trading. Quay Facilities then returned outside of shop trading hours to remove their lights, heaters and soffit. As a result, Quay Facilities gained access to all security window shutters and industrial roller shutters, enabling them to repair all three straight away. The emergency team then left the security window shutters and industrial roller shutters in a safe and working order.

Fault: This client advised us that their rear fire exit door had dropped and would no longer open leading to a compromise in security and the safety of staff.
Resolution: Our qualified engineers arrived at the premises to find the staff confused with their problem. Upon closer inspection, the fire door had completely failed and ideally needed replacing in full. As a temporary solution, our engineers altered and cut the existing hinges to enable staff to enter and exit, and a full quote for a new fire door was provided.
The client was pleased that the fire exit route was now clear and did not compromise customers or staff.
